About Us

If you’re reading this blog, I’m sure you already know the basics about us. Here are the highlights:

Fall 2003: Charlie and I met at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Spring 2004: We started dating 🙂

Spring 2005: Charlie graduated with his master’s degree and moved back to Texas with his parents.

October 2005: Charlie enlisted in the Army, came to visit me in Cincinnati and proposed, then left for basic training.

January 2006: Charlie graduated from basic training, then went to Little Creek, Virginia for Advanced Individual Training at the Armed Forces School of Music.

June 2006: I graduated from CCM, Charlie graduated from AIT, and we both moved to Atlanta. He was stationed a Fort McPherson and lived in the barracks, and I moved home with my dad and stepmom. I got a job teaching Band at Sequoyah Middle School.

July 7, 2007: We got married! I spent the next two tears teaching at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School.

July 2009: We moved to Colorado Springs, CO where Charlie was stationed at Fort Caron. I taught for three years at Soaring Eagles Elementary.

April 16, 2012: Connor Joseph Brokovich was born!

July 2012: We moved out of our Colorado house and spent three weeks visiting family in Texas and Georgia.

August 6, 2012: We moved to Germany! Charlie is assigned to the USAREUR Band, which will be stationed in Sembach (the Band is moving from Heidelberg in September).

June 2015: We moved to Virginia Beach, VA. Charlie was the clarinet instructor at the Army School of Music at JEB Little Creek.

July 30th, 2016: Morgan Louise Brokovich was born!

June/July 2019: We moved to San Antonio, TX. Charlie is stationed at Fort Sam Houston.

July 25th, 2019: Harper Florence Brokovich was born!
